To begin playing Animal Connect Mahjong, click the -Choose Layout- button at the bottom middle of the game screen. You will then be able to choose one of ten different game layouts, including Turtle, Ruins, Castle Gate, Diamonds, Palace, Building Blocks, Egypt, House, Area or Crazy. Once you choose the layout that you want to play, click the -Start Game- button at the bottom middle of the screen.
As soon as the game starts, the clock will begin counting the amount of time that has elapsed. Because you are being timed, you want to begin matching pairs of tiles as quickly as possible. In order to make a match, two tiles have to have the same icon. However, whats unique about this Mahjong game is the flower and fruit tiles dont have to be an exact match. For example, you can successfully match a purple flower with a red flower. For a match to count and the tiles to be cleared, both tiles in the match need to have at least one free side. Each time you make a correct match, the tiles will clear, your score will increase, and the -Tiles Left- counter will be reduced.
To provide you with help, there is a counter that indicates the current number of free pairs, as well as the current number of free tiles. You can click the -Hint- button at the bottom left of the screen if you need additional help. Just remember that clicking this button will cost you ten points.
