To get started with The Great Mahjong, click the -New Game- option on the game screen. Next, decide whether you want to -Play Classic Game- or -Play Time Attack-. For the -Play Classic Game- option, you will have a timer that starts at zero and counts how long it takes you to match all of the pairs on the board. For the -Play Time Attack- option, you will have a limited amount of time to successfully clear the entire board.
Once you select which option you want to play, you will then be able to choose which puzzle layout you want. To look at the different choices that are available, use the arrow icons on the left and right side of the picture of the layout. After you decide which layout you want, click the -Play- button below the picture of the layout.
Regardless of whether you choose the -Play Classic Game- or -Play Time Attack- option, your objective will be the same. You will want to match pairs of tiles as quickly as possible. In order for a pair of tiles to match, they need to have the same icon. Additionally, they need to have one or both sides free from touching any other tile.
When you correctly match a pair of tiles, they will disappear from the board. However, if you decide that the match you made was a bad idea for your overall strategy, you can make the tiles reappear by clicking the -Undo- button at the bottom right of the screen.
